Presenting a metallic trio of unexpected visual delights, our brand new Nagoya collection offers instant statement design, captivating surface effects, and inviting tactility.
Designed by Mexico-born, Madrid-based interior designer and architect Jean Porsche, Nagoya honours its namesake with the distinctive, soulful essence of Japanese ceramics. The crackled surface texture is reminiscent of the iconic look of raku glaze, rich with varied pigmentation and decorated with a map of fine, contrasting rivulets. The high gloss glaze captures the light, encouraging it to dance across the irregular surface texture, adding an unmistakable depth to the design.
With substantial amounts of variation between tiles (V4), this unique look has an authentic artisanal presence full of character. Each tile is adorned with a contrasting frame border in one of three colour combinations.
The regal turquoise and copper tiles play on the mesmerising transformation of oxidised copper with a warm metallic border and crinkled green-tinted centre. An enchanting combination of green and gold pairs a deep shadowy middle with a comforting golden frame, and finally, the ethereal grey and silver Nagoya tiles subtly blend from a scattered icy-blue inner to the clear metal-toned outskirts.
Each tile measures 65x200mm, allowing for a range of installation layouts accentuated by the glossy finish and distinctive Nagoya borders.
