Surface Finish - Glazed
Australian Made Tiles
Surface Finish - Glazed

A glazed finish is obtained by applying a coat of enamel or liquid glass on ceramic and porcelain tiles. Most of the tiles available in the market have a glazed finish. Glazed tiles are available in an array of colours, finishes, textures and styles that is achieved using inkjet printing technology. They also add an aesthetic value to homes. Glazed finish tiles do not require sealing.

Glazed tiles are non-absorbent, stain and water-resistant and are easy to clean. These tiles are mainly recommended for residential use on walls because of the fact that they are slippery in nature.

Material - Ceramic
Australian Made Tiles
Material - Ceramic Ceramic tiles are made from clay that is quarried, prepared and then poured into a mould. These tiles are available in diverse sizes, colours, textures, designs and styles to suit varied preferences. These elegant tiles offer timeless look to aspirational home and office spaces. They are impervious to extreme temperatures and corrosion. Ideal for use on floors and walls in living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms; in the long run, ceramic is affordable and a perfect choice for DIY homeowners. You can lay them by using the right adhesive, grout and silicone sealant. A major differentiator of ceramic tiles is that they are environment-friendly and don't require harsh chemicals for cleaning.
Edge - Pressed
Australian Made Tiles
Edge - Pressed Pressed tiles are manufactured using a standard pressing and firing process in a mould. This means the size of these tiles varies slightly and allowance needs to be made while laying them. Larger grout joints are required when laying pressed tiles and it is because of this that their installation is faster and cheaper. These tiles hide imperfections in the substrate whereas rectified tiles highlight them. The ease of manufacturing makes pressed edge tiles generally a cheaper buy.
