The benefits of using timber tiles outdoors
When we think of materials used for outdoor spaces we often think of wood. It seems to be the go to material for decking, seating, tables and garden planters. But there’s one major downside - wood isn’t impervious to the elements.
A solution to this which is often overlooked is timber look tiles. Although these tiles are often associated with the indoors (which they are perfect for) they can also be used to expand the indoors to outside.
There are a number of benefits to using timber look tiles outdoors in place of natural timber. There are no rotting repair costs and they don’t need to be sealed or stained on a regular basis. They are less susceptible to the rain and heat which means they have long lasting power and they are slip resistant meaning they can be used around pool areas.
Timber look tiles come in a variety of neutral tones and have a textured finish similar to that of wood which makes it hard to tell the difference between the porcelain tile and that of its natural counterpart.
Whether it’s the ideal outdoor area or an expensive resort feel timber look tiles are a cost effective way to achieve the look and feel you want to create.
